A modern take on a classy old bar makes the Sidecar one of the go-to destinations for cocktails in Dublin, it’s multi-award winning and a very fancy spot to grab a few drinks.
They specialise in their cocktails, the Sidecar is an experience more so than just a bar, it’s well worth a visit.
Vintage Cocktail Club – Temple Bar
A speak-easy vintage style setting is home to a wide menu of top class cocktails in the ever-busy Temple Bar area.
The Vintage Cocktail Club is perfect for a date, girls night-out or just when you want a nice cocktail, it does tend to be quite busy but is a perfect summer setting for a few drinks.
Hyde – Lemon Street
Hyde is a new contemporary bar and restaurant just off Grafton Street that opened in late 2022 meaning many people have yet to try it out – but it should definitely be on your list of priorities.
While also an Asian restaurant, they pride themselves on top quality cocktails in a very modern setting.
The Blind Pig Speakeasy – Suffolk Street
A lovely underground dimly lit bar offering up tasty cocktails and a really nice ambiance.
It’s considered one of the most unique bars in Dublin and is also Ireland’s longest-running speakeasy. Self-labelled as ‘Dublin’s best kept secret’, it is worth a visit on your next cocktail night.
Bar 1661 – Dublin 7
Voted Ireland’s best bar in 2022, Bar 1661 is an independent cocktail bar serving up “fiercely independent” craft cocktails in the heart of Dublin 7.
It serves Irish made products and prides itself on its unique menu, with poitin one of the main ingredients in their cocktails.
Of course, like all the others on this list, the setting is very classy and makes for a picture perfect place to enjoy a night-out.
The Curious Mister – The Clarence Hotel
The Curious Mister, part of the Press-Up group, sits inside The Clarence Hotel in the Temple Bar area and is home to a vast and varied menu of top quality cocktails.
The bar itself is very comfortable and usually a lively area so you can drink and enjoy the surroundings.
Peruke & Periwig – Dawson Street
Fancy a cocktail in the lovely Dawson Street area? Peruke & Periwig is a quality candle-lit venue for cocktails, pints and even a bite to eat.
The cocktail menu is extremely varied from your obvious classics to some more unconventional mixes for the adventurous amongst us. A warning that you may need a reservation if heading at peak times of a weekend.
