Whether you’re on a day trip, staying for a holiday, passing through or maybe even at the rugby 7s – there’s always reason to head for a drink in lovely Kinsale.
The lovely town on the River Bandon is one of Cork’s many gems and a beautiful place to visit on a hot summer’s day.
Kinsale is flooded with hotels, bars and restaurants so it can be hard to choose where to go to grab yourself a pint – but we’ve got two places here you don’t want to miss.
Kitty O’Se’s – Pearse Street
It’s about as Irish as a pub can get inside here, Kitty O’Se’s prides itself on bringing you “the craic” and you’ll struggle to find another local nearby that does it as well.
With traditional food, traditional music and a wide selection of beers on draught and drinks behind the counter, it’s a top spot to visit when in the town.
They have live music every night of the week and recommend that you visit around 6:30pm, grab a bite to eat and by the time you’re finished the tunes will be in full flow.

Hamlets – The Glen
Completely different from the previous pub, Hamlets is gastropub and beer garden option perfect for a group of young people out in Kinsale for the day or night.
They have a delicious selection of food like burgers and hot dogs, potentially the best cocktail menu in Kinsale and a great outdoor space to enjoy on a sunny day.
Perfect for big groups looking for a good evening drinking in the sun.
