Ireland is a haven for tourism during the summer months with holidaymakers jetting from all parts of the world to see what the country has to offer.

Among them are some of the biggest stars in the world who often make their way to Dublin and tend to enjoy one of the country’s biggest attractions – a pint in a local pub.

2023 appears to be a bumper summer for celeb spotting in the capital after a string of big actors were pictured having a drink in Dublin.

We’ve compiled a list of some of the places where celebs have been spotted recently.

Breaking Bad star enjoys Guinness in South Dublin

The Lord Edward pub just across from Christchurch cathedral was home to one of Breaking Bad’s biggest stars in July, with Dean Norris visiting with his son.

The famous actor shared a couple of pictures in the traditional pub as his son enjoyed his “first legal Guinness”.

Dean popped into the Leo Burdock’s chipper beside it a short time later to complete the perfect night out.

Post Malone lives it up in Temple Bar

Temple Bar is the most popular tourist spot so it’s no surprise that some big stars, particularly from the US, end up drinking there when they touch down.

Post Malone was one of those such stars and was spotted having a good night in May when he was playing concerts in the 3Arena.

The rapper appeared to enjoy himself in The Temple Bar pub itself with plenty of people grabbing a picture with the superstar.

The Long Hall pub – loved by The Boss

A celebrity that many people would love to meet is Bruce Springsteen, he returned to Ireland in 2023 for sold-out RDS shows and did indeed enjoy a drink in his favourite haunt.

The Long Hall pub on Camden Street is well-known as being the spot where he likes to visit – no real surprise given it’s one of Dublin’s best traditional pubs.

Around the last time Bruce was expected to appear here, Irish singer Dermot Kennedy happened to play an impromptu gig in the cosy pub.

Morgan Freeman visits rugby pub

Imagine enjoying a pint in your local pub and one of the biggest movie stars in the world walks in on a random Sunday evening – well that’s what happened in June of this year at a Ballsbridge pub.

The well-known Bridge 1859 and its punters were very pleasantly surprised when Morgan Freeman decided to pay them a visit and get himself a drink.

Pub owner Noel Anderson labelled it “one of the coolest things to ever happen”.

Drake and the others who love Temple Bar

Canadian superstar Drake is one of the many big stars who have been spotted enjoying a drink after a show in the Temple Bar area – he again decided to opt for The Temple Bar pub itself.

He happened to be there with NFL A-lister Odell Beckham Jr on that night, who isn’t the only Beckham to visit the pub, footballer David Beckham has also been spotted in here.

Damon in Dalkey

Dalkey is one of the most beautiful parts of the city and of course when Matt Damon famously spent lockdown in the coastal town, he had to head out for a drink at some stage.

The Hollywood star is said to have enjoyed a pint in the local Finnegan’s pub during his stay.

Guinness Storehouse

More of a tourist attraction than a pub exactly, albeit they do have pubs inside, but it is a place where you could randomly bump into a massive superstar.

Tom Cruise, John C. Reilly, Jason Momoa and Usher are among the famous faces who have been seen visiting in recent times.

Any others?
