Everybody loves a carvery dinner on a Sunday and the pubs of Dublin are known to offer some of the very best around.

It’s not always easy to find your local carvery but we’ve picked out some of the best ones that we know about so you can fill your belly next time you have the urge for a good Sunday roast.

There are of course more than the ones we have listed so make sure to comment where else people should try.

Fagan’s – Drumcondra

A famous pub on Dublin’s northside where a carvery dinner is their staple, usually packed on a Sunday when locals pack in for the delicious servings of meat, potatoes and veg.

But it’s not only on Sundays when it’s served, it’s open seven days a week from midday.

57 The Headline – Clanbrassil Street

We include this one with an unfortunate note that in September, 57 the Headline may no longer exist in its current state – they are likely to be moving to a new area with nothing confirmed yet.

But, if you’re dying for a Sunday roast in August, get yourself down here because it has been lauded as possibly Dublin’s very best.

The Black Forge Inn – Drimnagh

Since opening under Conor McGregor’s ownership, The Black Forge Inn has become known to have one of the best food offerings of any Dublin pub.

And their Sunday lunch menu is really up there, it will cost you a bit more than most of the other options on this list, but we doubt you’ll be disappointed.
