Looking for a group night out at a pub with a twist? While Dublin is great for bars where you can sit, chat and listen to live music, it might seem harder to locate a spot with some activities.

But that doesn’t mean they don’t exist, because there is actually quite a few places where you and your friends can play games like golf, pool, darts or some other activities.

Here are a a few places around the city they are activity filled.

Pitch, Dawson Street

One of Dublin’s newest venues, Pitch brings Trackman simulator golf technology together with food, drinks and a fun time in a social setting.

Open seven days a week, you can book yourself one of 10 bays here with prices starting at around €50 for an hour for groups of up to eight people.

Once there, there is food and drink at the bunker bar, with lots of signature cocktails as well as everything else you might expect.

And if you fear you might not be very good at golf, don’t worry, this is perfect as it has games for everyone, so whether you’re a scratch golfer or someone who has never picked up a club, you can still enjoy it.

Flight Club, Dawson Street

Another relatively new entry to the Dublin pub scene, Flight Club is jumping on the ever growing phenomenon of darts and making it an ideal night-out for groups.

Marketed as ‘social darts’, it’s again refreshing that you don’t need to be any good at darts whatsoever to enjoy yourself here, while you might impress your pals by doing your best Luke Littler impression, the games are meant to be fun and for anyone.

Sharing plates, pizzas cocktails and beers have made this already a much-visited venue.

Hideout, South William Street

Not quite a bar so to speak, but you can drink and play pool so it definitely belongs on this list, in fact, it’s almost definitely the cheapest option here.

At Hideout, you can ring ahead and book yourself a pool table for one or two hours, bring a few friends and grab some beers or any alcohol from the shop and pitch up for a period.

It’ll cost you just €15 for a table from Monday to Wednesday, while the rest of the week will cost you €20.

The price to avail of the BYOB offer is just €5 per person, so it’s considerably cheaper than a night out in most pubs these days.

Super Social, Leopardstown

This is a bit of a trek outside the city centre so you might need a designated driver but it’s likely well worth it if you’re looking for a unique experience.

This new venue, which reportedly cost about €5 million to open, is super high-tech with golf, darts, shuffleboard and ‘The Arena’ which is similar to the gameshow The Cube in some senses.

With food and drink on top of this, it’s another quality place for groups to go and socialise with something to keep everyone entertained.
