One of South Dublin’s most famous pubs is home to one of the best outdoor areas the city has to offer with loads of space, plenty of sunshine on a good day and entertainment.

The Goat pub on lower Kilmacud road in Goatstown has long been a favourite with passersby and locals and with the summer months approaching, their outdoor beer garden is in full swing ready to welcome guests.

The bar and grill is well-known to attract big crowds on the day of big sporting events such as an Irish rugby game, a big GAA match or the likes of the Cheltenham festival but it has a lot more to offer than just that.

The garden area is relaxed in its set up with comfortable seats, places to stand around and some nice plants and flowers that add to its relaxed feel.

A pool table also features so you can pass a few hours while drinking and playing with pals or challenging some newfound rivals.

Drinks wise, there is an outdoor bar so you won’t be left waiting too long while there is occasionally barbecues during the summer – check out their social media to see when these take place.

As well as an extensive drinks menu which includes all your favourite beers and a wide selection of cocktails, the Goat also has a hugely popular food menu throughout the year.

They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with everything you could ask for on the menu – which you can view here.

Whether you’re looking for a quiet drink and bite to eat or a proper night-out sitting in the sun, the Goat is definitely one of the best options on the southside of Dublin.
